How did you get started in radio?
True story: I was a Senior in H.S. and was clueless as to what I wanted to do in life. One day in church a lady heard me reading the scriptures (I was a lay reader back then) and said "You have such a nice voice! You ought to be in radio!" So I thought "Why not?" and majored in communications at the Univ. of New Orleans where I started a long and colorful radio career. I now not only work p/t for the Fish but am a successful freelance voice talent voicing national commercials and even some small movie trailers!
Tell us your favorite story about your kids:
It involves my daughter (now 17) when she was about 2 years old passing gas in the middle of an electronics/media store and then proudly announcing it in a loud voice for everyone within earshot to hear!
What is something that most people are surprised to find out about you?
That I'm as old as I am. (I'm older than dirt)
If you could trade places with anyone, who would it be?
No one. Seriously. I've been SO blessed! Incredible wife (19 years of marriage now), 2 great kids, great health, family and life, and I'm SAVED!!!
Who are some of your favorite Fish artists?
Switchfoot, The Fray, Michael W. Smith, Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Skillet
